There is a lot of learning in the AMLP that is transferable to the workplace. The programme is so much more than that though, networking with peers, realising that our problems are not unique and building confidence to tackle problems, introduce new techniques and plan for change. Understanding the business aspects including globalisation, wars, politics, as well as finance, is invaluable for todays’ manager / engineer / leader. A great programme that Creative Composites are glad to be a part of. We already have the next delegate lined up!
I have been associated with the Centre for Competitiveness for over 25 years, starting back in 2000 when I joined Boomer Industries. One of the first things I did after taking up the position of Managing Director at Kiverco was to engage CforC’s services and become a member.
Kiverco has ambitious plans for growth over the next 5-10 years. To deliver this, upskilling our teams, improving processes, and maintaining the highest quality standards will be critical – CforC’s support has been and will remain invaluable.
The culture of CforC is reflected in the calibre of the people who work there. Their style and approach align seamlessly with our business and our people – they understand how we work, and how to get the very best out of the room when delivering training or facilitating discussions.
Over the years, CforC has supported my teams in many ways – from helping us achieve gold level awards in EFQM & SC21 in Denroy, delivering Lean workshops and process mapping, to most recently collaborating on R&D projects. They have also cultivated an impressive network of organisations and professionals across many sectors, which has given us opportunities to engage in innovative and exciting initiatives.
Our long-standing relationship with CforC has been built on trust, shared values, and tangible results – and I look forward to continuing that journey for many years to come.
The Value Stream Mapping workshop was an extremely valuable and insightful session; the team and myself found your delivery both effective and engaging as you took us through the VSM tool methodology, and then the practical exercise of the initial development of the ‘Current State’ map which was very beneficial to use the tool in action. We have subsequently met to develop the +3 month ‘Future State’ map, develop an Action Plan and measured progress towards same. Overall, a very enjoyable and excellent day and the VSM tool is helping us identify and make improvements.”
Their tailored solutions, continuous guidance, and commitment to fostering quality and excellence made a pivotal impact on our achievements.
I feel the workshop explained well the basic understanding of a SMED approach and how this can benefit a company. I found William very engaging and absolutely wanted to involve the team in the workshop rather than just lecturing what a SMED is.
“The workshop provided a good background to APQP/PPAP and provided a different way of looking at the non-automotive processes also. It provided a good base to identify areas where more in-depth training on the different parts of the process would be helpful. It was great to have a trainer who has real-world expertise and very knowledgeable of the area.”
