Last week members of CforC attended the inaugural Centre for Advanced Sustainable Energy (CASE) NI Energy Summit at The ICC, Belfast.
The summit launched “A Pathway to Our Renewable Future” document which opens with the summary “Ambition, Action, Progress” with a list recommendations of what is required in order to reach decarbonisation in a renewable landscape for Northern Ireland.
This also includes calling for a ‘whole government approach’ in order to change how we do things, address challenges ahead and maximise economic benefits for society.
U.S. Special Envoy to Northern Ireland Joe Kennedy III stated “This is a global fight and every country and every community must do its part” and concluded the summit “The United States, in fact, has much to learn from Northern Ireland."
